Lunch with grandma

Kim's family is able to get together every Wednesday and have a family lunch for those that can attend. One person is picked to choose the menu each week and then everyone brings something from the menu to eat. (we usually luck out and get something very easy) Typically there is a main course, side, salad, rolls, vegetable and of course dessert. They are a family of amazing cooks so the homemade meals are always a treat. Wednesday Angie got to pick the menu since it was her birthday meal! (Happy Birthday Angie and Debbie too! Earl's is coming up quickly) We had Earl's wonderful fried chicken (no one does it better) mashed potatoes and gravy, homemade rolls, green beans, green salad and chocolate pudding cake with homemade ice cream. YUM YUM!! Makes your mouth water doesn't it?
Kael, Jagger and Sierra are lucky enough to get to attend the meal. After grandma Jeanne was finished eating Sierra wanted to hold Kael so she helped her out and this picture is the very cute outcome!
Until next Wednesday.....

Great sports day!

Kiersten participated in his last home (and season) swim meet today. He did the medley, 50 free and 100 free. He broke his personal best time on the medley and then broke it again in the 50 free. He was pretty excited. Then along came the 100 free and he broke that personal record too. He is thrilled and said it was a "great" day! Not to mention he is loving his sleep now that morning practices are over. No more rise and shine at 5am for him~ He keeps telling me he can tell that life will be so much easier now!

Kiley played basketball in Roosevelt. (His dad and Kael went and enjoyed the game too) He reported that he had a great game. He had a free throw, 3 pointer and a lay up. He said the Roosevelt team was terrible but they did make a small comeback in the 2nd half. He got new shoes the other night as his previous ones had ripped and were hurting his knees. He informed me this morning that he now needs a plain black pair to wear on his away games since his new ones are white and would be great for home games. LOL Typical Ki, you are always thinking!

We are so proud of both of you. Keep it up!

Awesome 3 pointer!

Kiley had 2 home games this week. He got to be a starter on Tuesday and had his "career" game high in points. He played hard and looked great while MAKING his free throws.
In Friday's game, he played hard and also made an amazing 3 pointer!! He was thrilled and excited.
Kaylee told me that Kiley must be made out of rubber because when he gets hit hard and crashes to the ground he jumps right back up. He is a great defender and takes some pretty hard hits. I agree. Kiley are you rubber?

alumni meet

Kiersten participated in an alumni swim meet this morning. It took a little work but I finally got a smile and a good one too! When he was done swimming his 50 free he says he is bummed because he didn't beat his own time but he is "joyful" because he beat Adam!!! He will be in a good mood the rest of the day.
